Identity and broadsheet for the exhibition A Wicked Problem. A “wicked problem” is a problem that has no right or wrong solution, and may not even be considered a problem until a “solution” is found. The gallery held an open call for proposals for exhibitions that would be impossible to realize. Fifteen were then selected by a jury to be displayed in the gallery, with accompanying text descriptions on the broadsheet.
Exhibition identity and brochure for As We Were Saying: Art and Identity in the Age of “Post”. Picking up the torch of identity politics in a new era, the identity and brochure take on a manifesto-like look and feel. With bold/simple typography, the brochure reinforces these ideas through the material qualities of a newsprint tabloid.
Identity and brochure for an ongoing artist residency called Shift, at EFA Project Space. The residency provides studio space and peer support to practicing artists who also work as arts professionals (administrators, curators, directors, and others). Echoing the motion already implied by “shift,” the letters of the word are angled, giving form to the action. The brochure was risograph printed.
